Jeff Alexander left school when he was 15 years old to do his Pastrycook Apprenticeship with Home Pride in Tatura. At the age of 23 he purchased Tatura Hot Bread with his wife to be Glenda in 1982. They sold the business in 1987 to Jeff's brother and then brought it back in 1999. the journey was about to begin.

Tatura Hot Bread has become famous for its mouth watering, Award-Winning Vanilla Slices. They were judged best Vanilla Slice in 2006 , 2007  & 2011 at the Ouyen Vanilla Slice Triumph and were runner up in 2004 & 2008.

Tatura Hot Bread has also won awards for their Hot Cross Buns. They were winners of  Australia's Best Hot Cross Bun Competition in 2011 and 2012 and were runner-up in 2010.

In 2007, Tatura Hot Bread featured on the Great Outdoors television show with Shelley Craft doing the story, and due to public demand, we opened on Sunday and now trade 7 days a week.

In 2009, Tatura Hot Bread featured on Coxy's Big Break television show with Coxy learning how Award Winning Vanilla Slices are made.

We have featured in The Herald Sun newspaper's  Top 5 Vanilla Slices and also Top 5 Lamingtons on numerous occasions.

We have won numerous awards for our bread, pies, cakes & pastries culminating in winning Bakery of the Year and Bakery Trainer of the Year in Victoria for 2009 by the Baking Industry Association of Victoria

Sunday: 8:00am - 2:00pm
